About Autowlift

We make one thing, we make it out of real steel, and we make it here.

Our Story

We Didn’t Set Out to Build Equipment. We Got Tired of Replacing It.

Forty years in the tow industry taught us exactly what was wrong with the equipment we were buying — because we were the ones buying it.

We ran the lots. We moved the cars that wouldn’t start, the repos with no keys, the wrecks that couldn’t be driven. And we dealt with what that cost us: damaged bumpers and cracked oil pans, arms snagging on broken springs, bent and inferior devices that gave out under daily use. We were fixing, buying, and replacing units every month.

Eventually the math stopped making sense. So we made our own — out of necessity, not ambition. A simple forklift attachment that lifts a vehicle from under the tires: no keys, no engine, no risk. Attach it to the forklift you already own and move up to 4,000 lbs safely, in under a minute.

It’s built the way we always wished our equipment had been built — solid steel, no shortcuts, made right here in Hawthorne, California. We still use it every day. At this point, we couldn’t operate without it.

What We Stand On

Our Core Values

1

Built to Last, Not to Cut Corners

We use solid steel plates instead of flimsy sheet metal, because equipment used every day in a tow yard has to survive every day in a tow yard.

2

No Damage, No Excuses

The Autowlift’s low profile and smooth top exist for one reason — to make sure the vehicle you’re moving comes out exactly as it went in.

3

Simple Enough to Trust on Day One

No hydraulics, no complicated setup, nothing to plumb or power — if it takes a manual to explain, we didn’t build it right.

The Difference

What Makes Autowlift Different

Most vehicle-moving solutions ask you to buy new equipment, hire more labor, or accept some level of risk to the vehicle. Autowlift asks for none of that.

It attaches to the forklift you already own. It lifts from the tires, not the frame or bumper, so there’s nothing to snag, crack, or dent. Its internal springs and bearings are protected and serviceable — with replacement parts kept in stock, not back-ordered for weeks. And it’s not an imported, mass-produced part — it’s made in the USA, from real steel, by people who spent forty years running the kind of lot you’re running.

Every one of those decisions traces back to something that failed on us first. We built it tough enough for the lot and precise enough for the showroom — because the vehicles you move are worth exactly that either way. And when you have a question, you’ll talk to the people who actually build Autowlift.
